Program
Within our common two weeks you have the choice between a whole variety of different program tasks.Because of the possibility to book either the first, the second or both weeks, we will have two periods to go on hiking-trips, each lasting three days, one in each week. Together with your group, or joined with mixed international groups you can choose if you want to go hiking by bike, canoe or tram e.g. to experience the Metropolitan Area Ruhr for three days. If it is more attractive for you to do several daytrips to see even more attractions and more of the landscape within these periods, this is also possible!.
Some groups can also experience home hospitality together with local partner groups. Please contact the project office if you are interested.
In between the two weeks on August 14th together with round 4000 invited scouts and guests we will celebrate the summit of this camp with a daylong event called pfadfinder.treffen. This encounter of Scouts from all over the Metropolitan Area Ruhr is an old tradition, which was established in 1989. Separated into our different age groups there will be program in the morning. In the afternoon our districts will offer activities to join in. Throughout the day we would like to show how local Scouting culture is lived out and what´s typical for us. Therefore this day will also be open to the public. More information about this event you will find on www.pfadfindertreffen.de.
In the second week of the ruhrjamb.2010 we offer workshops around several social, enviromental and political topics suitable for any age. How does that look? Take part and find out!
Beside these main activities and offers you will have plenty of space and time for encounter, which means playing games, watching local movies, international cooking e.g.
