move to 10 - scouting culture

In 2007 move to 10 was established in the DPSG Diocese of Essen aiming at intensifying the international and European Scouting network, encouraging young people to take over responsibility for their European citizenship and of course, inviting scouts to explore our home region with us this summer.

In the different stages of the project we have already explored our own home region, explored our senses of “culture” and developed partnerships between our groups and Scouts from all over Europe.

The DPSG is the biggest Catholic children and youth organization in Germany. In the Diocese of Essen we have more than 7000 members. Essen is right in the heart of the Metropolitan Area Ruhr, so we are a lively and important part of the Ruhr Culture and the European Capital of Culture.

Within the project European Capital of Culture 2010- RUHR.2010 and in the future we want to work together with as many European Scout organizations as possible, organize cultural exchange and work together with them on social, environmental, political and socio-cultural topics.
